The ideal candidate must have:

• Full Proficiency in both Front and Back End WordPress Development (Full stack)
• Full confidence in communication, both internally and with clients
• Willingness to support the team
• Excellent time management
• Previous experience in a senior web development role
• Experience preferable in Wordpress, Laravel and Shopify Web Development

• £38,000 - £42,000 per annum

Who We Are:

At Zestcode, our specialty is White Label Web Development. This means we code on behalf of our clients, mostly marketing agencies, under their name, allowing them to expand their services into the web development sector.

We are looking for someone who is confident in most aspects of web development, including PHP & WordPress, to work independently alongside the development director and project manager, to lead the development team. Support will be offered where needed and you will be able to expand your knowledge into areas you’re interested in.

Our office is situated in Raunds with good access from the entire county (near Wellingborough / Northampton / Kettering / Rushden).

What You’ll Be Doing:

You will be responsible for coding custom WordPress themes (built on top of the Understrap theme) to a specific design provided by our design partners. The websites we build are not your typical run of the mill websites. In addition to the occasional full build, we have a constant stream of work coming through for custom features to be added to sites such as:

• Custom built plugins
• API Integrations
• Google Maps Store Locators
• Custom login area’s and gated content
• Custom coded eCommerce functionality

Amongst many other complex features that you will be tasked with.

This job role will appoint you next to the director and project manager to take the lead on most development projects. The successful applicant will be coding and managing these projects to ensure the deadline is hit and the quality of the work is consistently met to a high standard.

Alongside the custom WordPress builds, Zestcode also builds various systems using Laravel. These projects are typically advanced data oriented systems to streamline businesses internal systems. Normally accompanied by inbound and outbound API integrations to streamline the data.

If you are using page builders / visual composers to build websites, this role is not for you.

As a team, we recognise the importance of self management, drive and problem solving. Urgent issues / hotfixes can occasionally be pushed through as high priority, and you will need to be prepared to jump on these issues as they arise. Support and team play is at the heart of our culture at Zestcode.

To make the cut, you must have a strong understanding of WordPress and LAMP stack. The role would suit someone with front-end and back-end development experience as well as knowledge and experience managing a development team.
