Role: Assistant Manager

Salary: from £13.00 p/h up to £15.00 including service charge

Location: Highbury and Islington, London (N16 9PX or N1 2NA)

We are looking for an enthusiastic wine and food fanatic to join our established popular neighbourhood shop and bar. The role will suit someone comfortable with both retail and hospitality background, we are all about providing honest produce and building relations, we believe the customer service experience comes first and to offer great hospitality you must have a great team. Ultimately we seek candidates willing to embrace our concept and are adaptable, warm and hospitable.

The beauty of working with a small independent is the chance to get involved at all levels. The role involves the whole shop - from sweeping the floor to buying wine and everything in between.

Yield N16 is an established neighbourhood bottle shop selling only natural, organic, biodynamic wines, that you can also enjoy by the glass to have in. We offer a small deli and a little changing menu to have in. We are recognized for our great team spirit and providing a fantastic service in an enjoyable setting. Our team is full of character and personality, they are passionate, friendly and proud of the food and drink we sell.

Duties:

· Team development on a day-to-day basis

· Wowing customers in the community to keep them coming back for more

· Working with suppliers to choose the best wines & produce for the season

· Controlling and maintaining stock and expenditure

· Following food safety, health and safety and licensing standards

· Managing customer feedback, weekly mail outs and social media, website

· Hosting wine tasting evenings

Qualifications/ experience :

· Advanced knowledge of wines and spirits , WSET level 2 ideally

· Previous managerial experience is a must

· In the trade experience

· A passion for natural wines and knowledge of competitors
