Title: Export Assistant

Location: Rainham, Essex. Occasional travel to London office.

Term: Temp to Perm. Initial contract for 9 months.

Salary: £25K to £28K per annum (Depending on experience)

About the Role

The Export Assistant is a key member of our dedicated export team, responsible for managing and developing our product range and customers in all countries outside of the UK. Reporting to the Export Manager, you will support the team, working on documentation, orders, and invoicing, as well as liaising with customers and our own internal teams. You will also liaise with external agencies such as Chambers of Commerce and from time to time assist with exhibitions and customer visits. The role is varied and frequently people-facing, so a flexible, enthusiastic, and outgoing approach will be a distinct benefit!

Key Responsibilities

· Completion of export/shipping documentation

· Processing customer orders

· Customer service – point of contact in conjunction with team members

· Customer invoicing and order confirmation documentation

· Assisting customers with range selection and optimizing their orders for shipping (once training completed).

· Supporting and assisting members of the export team on specific projects such as new customer development (once training completed).

Skills and competencies

· Experience in a similar commercial environment, whether UK-focused or export, while not essential, would be an advantage.

· Good personal organization – able to manage multiple tasks.

· Good administrative capabilities.

· Intermediate proficiency in MS Office applications.

· Good command of English language (written and verbal) essential. Proficiency in other language(s) beneficial but not essential.

· Comfortable working in a multi-cultural environment.

· An appreciation of international food and drink products, while not essential, would be an advantage.
