Housekeeping/potwash

Daily duties in the Potwash, including maintenance and cleaning of dishwasher machine.

Assisting the Café staff with table clearing, table sanitising and café floor spot-sweeping during service. Assisting with sweeping and tidying outside areas and outside furniture

Returning clean pots, cutlery, utensils etc to relevant departments

Laundering of kitchen cloths and tea towels

End of day closedown of Potwash, includes cleaning of floors, walls, fridge doors, shelves, racks etc

Stocktaking and routine ordering of cleaning products and general housekeeping items, in conjunction with ‘Utopia’ cleaning company. Keeping cleaning cupboards and COSHH shed stocked and tidy.

Daily cleaning and restocking, and weekly deep cleaning, of customer toilets; to a high standard

Cleaning of Staff restroom and Staff toilets – as required and at least once per week

Routine replenishment of cleaning product and equipment i.e mopheads, hoover bags, sanitiser sprays.

Maintenance of breakages record

Accurate maintenance of check lists in the Potwash, and for toilet cleaning

Awareness of stock levels (cutlery, crockery etc), instigation of necessary ordering

Assisting the Display Manager in the Gift Shop as required (ie dusting, sweeping, helping with displays)

Supervision and training of junior Potwash Staff, including organising breaks and allocating duties

Job Types: Permanent, Temp to perm
Contract length: 12 months

Salary: £9.50 per hour
