Role Overview & Responsibilities
This is one of two new roles supported by the Art Fund with a focus on the cataloguing and digitisation of the V&A Wedgwood Collection. Cataloguing the collection is part of ambitious plans for enhancing digital access, collaborative research, and continuing programming of the V&A Wedgwood Collection, allowing future generations of visitors and researchers to benefit from this significant collection of ceramics, art and archives.
The main purpose of the role is to create catalogue records for objects in the V&A Wedgwood Collection. The postholder will work collaboratively with the wider curatorial team at the V&A Wedgwood Collection and across the Department of Decorative Art and Sculpture and colleagues in Collections Care and Access to create rigorous records and share content online.
The post-holder will be based at the V&A Wedgwood Collection, Barlaston, Stoke-on-Trent, for a fixed term of 24 months.
