We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Lecturer in Physiotherapy with experience of cardiorespiratory physiotherapy to contribute to the provision of high-quality teaching and research within the Institute of Health.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Lecturer in Physiotherapy with experience of cardiorespiratory physiotherapy to contribute to the provision of high-quality teaching and research within the Institute of Health.

You will teach across a range of modules on the pre-registration physiotherapy programme and take the lead on delivery of the cardiorespiratory content of the programme. You will also contribute to relevant post-registration CPD courses. The role will include taking a role in the recruitment and admissions of students to our BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy course, supporting the development of placement capacity, and the maintenance of high academic standards and enhancement of the student experience. You will need to be committed to the development of the faculty’s portfolio of courses, linking with relevant external partners, and the generation of external income for the University. We are committed to improving diversity in our paramedic teaching team and would welcome applications from Global Majority candidates.

You will be educated to a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree level or equivalent and preferably have completed a Masters degree in a relevant subject. It is a requirement that you either hold, or are willing to undertake a Post-graduate Certificate in Education. You will be currently registered with the HCPC as a physiotherapist and have significant clinical experience in cardiorespiratory physiotherapy. Experience of teaching in an academic and clinical setting is essential and candidates with a research profile are welcome. Dedication to innovative teaching and research activities within physiotherapy practice are also a requirement of the post, in order to contribute towards the allied health portfolio and the profile of the faculty.
