Graduate Buyer - VR/26919
Excellent and exciting opportunity for a Graduate Buyer to join our client, an oil and gas service company, on a permanent staff basis in Cove, Aberdeen.
Reporting into the Lead Buyer, you’ll procure all project related requirements in an ethical manner and in accordance with requirements to assure all deliveries are made on time to the customer.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Expediting orders.
- Purchasing items consistent with price, desired quality and requirement date.
- Selecting suitable sources, requesting bids, evaluating quotation and making final supplier selection.
- Negotiating pricing, lead times and terms, conditions and recommending the best commercial options whilst ensuring budgets are met.
- Liaising with Projects personnel, highlighting any issues with achieving requested deliveries.
- Maintaining and establishing good working relationships with suppliers.
- Collating and preparing pre-tender documents to be issues to suppliers for specific tenders.
Applicants to this role require
- Previous experience within working in a purchasing department on all tendering and purchasing processes.
- Experience setting up suppliers.
- Strong communication skills alongside good Microsoft Word and Excel packages.
