Turf Machinery Sales Professional - West Lothian & Edinburgh

Thomas Sherriff have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Turf Sales Professional in the West Lothian & Edinburgh areas. We are looking for an individual to help grow the Turf business out of our Haddington Outlet, selling market leading brands such as John Deere, Trimax Mowing Systems, GKB, Hilltip, Grillo, Kramer and Kuhn. The successful candidate should be a forward thinking individual with previous sales experience. Good IT skills are essential so you can use all of the sales tools we have available, such as Microsoft Dynamics CRM. OTE of £50k+, company car (pick-up truck) & pension scheme.

• Represents the Dealership in the sale of machinery to customers in a defined sales area or supplied client base.
• Executes all sales process steps to achieve high sales performance in conjunction with sales targets and sales forecasting using Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
• Maintains current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment, services potentially saleable by the dealership and attends relevant sales training events.
• Maintains current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods.
• Monitors competitor activity and products and communicates to the sales Management accordingly. Delivering on sales targets supported with regular review with OM.
• Maintains up to date CRM data reporting all sales activity as well as updating customer information.
• Conducts new equipment field demonstrations.
• Executes goods delivery and follow up, according to SVAP process.
• Builds strong and loyal relationships with defined sales area customers.
• Monitors trends in customers’ business activities and timely communicates to management.

• 3+ years’ sales experience
• Good knowledge of machinery operations
• Ability to use standard computer applications, internet functions & sales tools (Microsoft Dynamics CRM)
• Familiar with John Deere and competitive products
• Ability to analyse and interpret internal reports (sales pipeline & performance management)
• Excellent customer relationship skills
• Ability to work extended hours
• Excellent attitude with integrity and honesty
• Ability to tow a trailer preferred
