Role Overview & Responsibilities
The Patient Safety Partner (PSP) role is a new role developed by NHS England to help improve patient safety. We are looking to recruit two patient safety partners to work with our staff to help improve safety within our local health and care system. patient safety partners can be patients, carers, family members or other lay people.
We are looking for people who can consider what we do from a public viewpoint and who will ask us how our plans will meet the needs of our patients. If you are motivated to help future patients, carers and families, then this is a great opportunity. - Supporting safety training that is provided for staff
- Being part of project teams that are working to improve safe care in our systems
- Joining our quality and safety related meetings
- Helping to develop patient safety information resources
- Being involved in the introduction of the new Patient Safety Incident Response Framework
- Supporting our work to learn from incidents
