Evening Bar Assistant

We’re looking to expand our team by taking on a bar assistant to join the team at the award-winning Eastbury & Spa.

The Eastbury is a luxury 26 bedroom town house property with 5 star accommodation and a boutique spa located in the town of Sherborne, Dorset.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a Front of house/Bar role as well as a warm and friendly personality. You must be willing to work a range of shifts between the hours of 5pm-12am across 7 days a week. The bar is open every day including weekends, bank holiday, Christmas and New Year.

Each week you will work between 20-30 hours. The hours of work vary depending on the needs of the business.

Essentials:

-Previous bar work

- Wine and Beer knowledge

- Communication skills

- Organisational skills

- High standard of customer service skills dealing with a variety of situations

- Be able to work as part of a team and on your own

Must also be available to work extra shifts to cover team holidays and sickness if needed. Proficiency in bar work, wine and spirit knowledge are essential, mixology skills also preferred but not essential

You will have opportunities to create drinks for functions and events, serving drinks in an array of options from tea & coffee to beer and spirits in the evenings.
You will also be required to turn our restaurant around from the lunchtime period to prepare for breakfast the next morning, light kitchen porter work may be required.

This Role is primarily for evenings - 5 days a week however the occasional day time shift may be required for events and functions therefore flexibility is key when applying

This is a very customer focused role and requires someone who is confident talking to new people and happy to interact with guests, we have a wide range of clientele and someone who can talk to people from all walks of life is a must.

Contract length: 6 months
Part-time hours: 20 per week

Salary: £10.50-£11.00 per hour
