Health Care Assistant

We are looking for hardworking and positive Healthcare Assistants to care for patients and their families who are living with a life limiting illness. You will work across our In-Patient Unit, which has two wards, as part of a multidisciplinary team supporting patients and their families.

Our In-Patient Unit is a professional and supportive work environment, we will support the post holders to develop their knowledge and skills through our on-site academic unit.

We are on the lookout for individuals who are:

• Are qualified to at least Level 2 in Health and Social Care.
• Are committed to delivering high quality patient care.
• Have great communication skills.
• IT competent.
• Are prepared to work in a busy and emotive environment.
• Are keen to work in a strong and vibrant multi-disciplinary team.

Experience of working as a Healthcare Assistant within a palliative care setting is desirable.

We will be completing a 2 stage interview process. The first stage will be a formal interview with the senior sisters followed by a second stage working with one of our experienced HCA’s. These will be completed on 2 separate working days.
