Why pay to go to the Gym?

Come and work for us and lift weights and get paid at the same time.

We are looking for strong people who would like to help us in our cooking department, we use a few tonnes of ingredients per shift, which have to be manually loaded into our 1 tonne cooking vessels.

Competitive rates of pay and various shifts available to suit.

Pay starts at £10 per hour. After completion of training, this is increased.

Day Shift 6.00am - 6.00pm 3 days on 3 days off

or

Night Shift 6.00pm - 6.00am 3 days on 3 days off + night shift allowance

Purpose of job:

To be trained to have a good understanding of the kitchen and our internal process. After training, we would expect you to understand the kitchen machinery, the cooking controls, decant process, the product batch process, be following our Clean As You Go Policy (all independently) and know the requirements for our external customers, together with other departments, and be operating in a safe environment.

Main responsibilities:

You will be trained in:

• Completing start up checks
• Completing vessel integrity checks between cooks
• Weighing out condiments/ dry goods, independently
• Completing the cook list independently and understanding the running order
• Completing boiler recipe sheets and understanding the information needed (batch details, etc, FIFO and the shelf life of products)
• Loading a boiler independently
• Understand the recipe reference sheet
• Understand species control
• Following our Clean As You Go policy
• In conjunction with your cooking shift leader, identify any self-development/ training needs to support your move to senior cooking operator
