Stores Person/Forklift Drivers

Job Title: Stores person/ Forklift Driver
Overall Job Purpose: The Storesperson/Forklift Driver will assist wth the day to day running of the Stores and the moving of goods around a busy engineering environment

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Moving goods and products around site using counter balance forklift
• Manoeuvering forklifts safely in a busy working environment
• Safely stacking and unstaking large quantities of goods
• Loading and unloading lorries
• Liaising with company departments managers
• Prepare orders ready for dispatch
• Receive, sort and store purchased goods when delivered
• Checking levels of stocked items throughout the company

Personal Qualities and Qualifications
Personal Specifications:

• Previous experience as a storesperson in an engineering environment advantageous.
• Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple projects at one time
• Literate and Numerate
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Computer literate with the ability to use Microsoft Software (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to undertake physical work (Bending, Lifting, Carrying Materials)

Qualifications and Certification:

• Secondary school level education or similar
• Counter balance forklift license
• Relevant business, manufacturing or engineering qualifications

Additional Information
Working Hours: Monday to Friday (39 hours per week)
Location: Tiverton
Remuneration: To be discussed at interview
Probation: 3-month probationary period

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £12.00 per hour
