Role Overview & Responsibilities
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Health Care Assistant and Support Worker to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a Health Care Assistant and Support Worker, you will provide essential support to our clients to help them live independently and comfortably.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care to clients, including bathing, grooming, and toileting
- Assist with mobility and transferring of clients
- Administer medication and other treatments as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Support clients with their nutritional needs, including meal preparation and feeding
- Perform routine health checks and monitor vital signs
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records
- Follow infection control and health and safety procedures
- Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, clients, and their families
- Perform other duties as assigned by the management team
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification
- Experience in a similar role in a health or social care setting
- Knowledge of health and safety, infection control, and other regulatory requirements
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Ability to travel to different client locations within the local area
- A compassionate and caring attitude towards clients
Education and Certification:
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification
- Relevant certifications in first aid, infection control, and other healthcare-related courses
