Our established Metal Manufacturing client is currently recruiting for an experienced Engineering Production Operative to join their team. Other suitable job titles could be Workshop Operative, Engineering Operative, Warehouse Operative, Mechanical Assembler, Assembly Operative.

Based In Derbyshire DE73 commutable from Derby, Swadlincote, Burton on Trent, Chaddesden and surrounding areas

Duties of the Production operative/Handy man/yards man

• 
  General site maintenance.
• Cleaning the canteen, factory (sweeping/ mopping).
• Empty bins in all areas.
• Remove pallets from the factory.
• Move products from one area to another.
• Clean products down with cleaning wipes.
• Use a hand grinder to clean up welds.
• Keep yard tidy.
• Maintaining / cleaning down machines etc.
• Replenishing consumables etc.
• Attaching identification labels to jobs.
• Experience in the below items would be beneficial:
• Fork lift licence.
• Carry out simple assembly work if required.
• Ability to take photos/ use a tablet/iPad.

Key Skills / Experience Required for the general operative/ Assembly operative/Handy man/yards person

• Previous experience using

• Must be able to start at short notice

• Ability to work with various hand tools

• Hard-working and motivated

• A keen eye for detail and ability to work to tight tolerances

• Able to work independently and as part of a team

The Package once probation period has been completed are:
