Microbiologist

Role Overview & Responsibilities

The working hours are 37.5 per week. Mon - Thu 12.00 to 20.00, Fri 12.00 - 19.30

Duties include:

• Sample processing (plate reading, confirmations etc.)
• Quality control (IQC/EQA/Media QC)
• Reporting of results
• Client liaison (e.g., providing specialist knowledge when requested)
• Supervision of microbiology technicians
• Report authorisation
• Stock management
• Maintain compliance to ISO 17025: 2017

Working on Sunday is required. A day in the week (Mon to Fri) will be given in lieu of working on Sunday.

Salary: Up to £10.42 per hour
