Role Overview & Responsibilities
Due to retirement, our busy friendly Glasgow Southside GP practice is seeking an experienced medical receptionist/administrator to work for 37 hours per week. The shift pattern offered is 10am to 6pm Monday - Friday.
The successful candidate will have excellent communications skills, be motivated and willing to learn. We are looking for someone who can work confidently and effectively prioritise within a busy environment using their own initiative. Medical reception experience would be an advantage and a working knowledge of EMIS and Docman is helpful but not essential as training will be given. As a medical receptionist in our practice, you will have a patient-focused telephone manner and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Duties include: welcoming/receiving patients at reception, making patient appointments, taking requests for home visits, answering phone calls, processing prescription requests and a range of administration duties. Salary is dependant on experience.
