Role Overview & Responsibilities
A global organisation working on the provision of innovative R&D services within drug discovery is looking for a Veterinary Pathologist to join their team near Edinburgh.
A forward thinking business working with leading global pharmaceutical companies to create innovative animal health products, you will support the larger team on scientific research and on the interpretation of pathology data.
Key Responsibilities
- Generating and interpreting veterinary pathology data from a variety of studies in a timely manner
- Working with a range of test items including small and large molecules, stem cell therapies as well as medical devices to determine the efficiency and safety of each test item
- Using several difference animal and in-vitro model techniques such as IHC/ISH target detection and microautodiography
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Veterinary Pathologist preferably in the pharmaceutical or agrochemical industry
- Educated to Masters degree or PhD level in Veterinary pathology
- Qualified board member in Veterinary Pathology
- Trained in Good Laboratory Practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
