Liaison and Diversion Practitioner
Role Overview & Responsibilities
We have successfully secured funding from NHS England to extend our liaison and diversion team across the boroughs of Bexley, Greenwich and Bromley. The service was first established in 2012 and currently we provide a liaison and assessment service to two police stations and an assessment service to a magistrate's court and a crown court. The criminal justice team provide a range of services within the criminal justice pathway including identification, screening and assessment and where appropriate facilitate diversion from custody to the least restrictive setting. We are an all age service which aims to improve health outcomes for detainees through early identification and screening by providing interventions that facilitate timely and appropriate pathways to care.
We are a 7 days a week service which provides compassionate and client-centred care across the boroughs and are proud to deliver high quality services to all our service users, whether mentally ill, personality disordered or behaviourally challenging.
What we are looking for enthusiastic, motivated practitioners to join our dedicated and dynamic team who will work as part of the liaison team with a specific focus on providing safe and effective care in custody.
