Role Overview & Responsibilities
The Clinical Microbiology Department at Nottingham University Hospitals are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Healthcare Scientist to develop and support the provision of a highly specialised diagnostic clinical microbiology service.
Following a significant investment to promote growth of the microbiology service, and be able to provide a comprehensive 24/7 clinical diagnostic microbiology service, the department is looking towards the development of specialist and niche diagnostic services, particularly utilising molecular diagnostic and sequencing techniques.
The post holder will join the Research & Specialist Molecular team, consisting of a rotational Associate Practitioner, an STP trainee, a senior Clinical Scientist, 2 HSST level Clinical Scientist and a 1 Consultant Clinical Scientist.
