Dealership Accountant - Multi Franchise

Location: Head Office, Norton Way North, Letchworth, Herts. SG6 1BL

Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 per annum

Norton Way Group has been in car industry since 1989 and motorbikes since 2006. We are a multi-franchise business, with 7 sites across London, Hertfordshire, and Bedfordshire, with over 400 staff and continuously growing.

Due to this growth in business, we now have a fantastic opportunity for a Dealership Accountant to join the business, who will report directly to the Finance Director. You will assist in the formulation of accounts and finance records for the Norton Way Group, taking responsibility for specific companies and departments.

What you’ll be doing:

• Oversee New and Used Stock checks and reconciliations on a monthly basis, reconcile the parts stock check biannually and ensure all Balance Sheet Accounts are reviewed and reconciled in full, for multiple franchises
• Provide support on the annual financial audit process and produce annual budgets, supporting managers in their preparation
• Validate and process Purchase Ledger BACS payments for director authorisation and calculate monthly figures and statistics, and prepare reports for the submission of the data
• Accurately complete and submit dealer composites adhering to manufacturer deadlines for all franchises
• Monitor manufacturer bonuses, liaise with managers on the accuracy/validity of the data provided, reconcile for periodic payments

Skills required:

• Minimum of three years as a qualified / experienced accountant with proficient knowledge in Microsoft office, including Excel
• Organised with excellent time management skills, as well as exceptional levels of attention to detail and accuracy
• Previous experience of working in the automotive industry and knowledge of Kerridge/Drive DMS would be an advantage
