Medicines Counter Assistant

You will need to be organized and well-motivated and have excellent communication and people skills, as well as the ability to adapt quickly to new situations. As a Pharmacy Sales Assistant you’ll be part of a team focused on helping patients feel good, from the clear advice and care you offer them, to the wide ranges of NHS and Private services we provide. This involves working across the healthcare counter and interacting directly with patient. You will be providing healthy lifestyle advice and health services to our patients, as well as delivering the technical aspects of the supply of medicines. You will interact with many different people and will be a core member of the pharmacy and healthcare team.

You should be confident and comfortable interacting with patients about the products and services we provide as well as promoting new services, promotions and campaigns the pharmacy runs. Being able to manage the end of the day procedures effectively is also important.

Other important duties are:

Dealing with collection and delivery of prescription queries.

Dealing with telephone enquiries from; suppliers, patients and local GP surgeries.

Booking and managing appointments as well as promoting other additional services.

Stock Control for the shop floor.
