We are looking for an organised, capable Transport Coordinator to work on a temporary basis whilst our client, a leader in the Fine Art Transportation and Storage industry, recruits formally for this role on a more permanent basis (so this could potentially be temp to perm!).
This role will be based in their Hayes facility (UB3 postcode) and is available with immediate effect (after checks/training have been carried out – see below).

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. or 7.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. with an hour for lunch = 40 hours per week
Pay: £14.00 - £16.00 per hour depending on level and relevancy of experience

The Transport Coordinator role is responsible for the day to day management/co-ordination of a team of 18 drivers and vehicles. Reporting into the operations service manager and assisting them in the daily operation at a site level, this includes problem solving and looking for initiatives to maintain and improve the level of client service and reporting any issues that may affect the operation.

Duties for the Transport Coordinator role include:
Ensuring Drivers and Technicians have the correct paperwork

Daily compliance management in line with policies
Working with all departments to give a high level of customer service
Identifying issues which may affect operations and assisting operation service manager to resolve these in a timely manner

Some experience working in a similar transport related role
IT literacy with experience of Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace
Accuracy and strong attention to detail
Customer service experience with excellent communication skills
Ability to work in a pressured environment

Ideally some knowledge of driver hours and vehicle compliance requirements ***Please note that due to the nature of this client's business, you will need to undergo a DBS check and credit check. If you have lived/worked outside of the UK for 6 months or more in the last 5 years then unfortunately we will be unable to proceed with your application due to the time taken to do international police checks.
You will also need to pass an online aviation security course before starting (takes a couple of hours to complete). ***
