Ambulance Care Assistant

Medicmart Ambulance Service are growing their team. Would you like to join us? We are looking for Ambulance Care Assistants to support our ambulance crews and patients.

We provide safe and effective services that are inclusive, supportive, and patient centred and our aim is to be the main private ambulance provider of choice for local hospitals.

We are based in Yaxley, Peterborough and we support hospitals in and around the Peterborough area. We are currently looking to offer flexible contracts that enable you to effectively manage your homelife whilst developing your skills in the ambulance service. Experienced and qualified staff are welcome, but we are happy to train and support the right people. Essentially, we are looking for people who are compassionate, professional, committed to providing excellent patient care and people who enjoy and have the ability to work as an effective team member.

We are willing to support you in terms of your career development and we will start that journey by providing the necessary training to perform in the ACA role and therefore you must be willing to actively participate in the Company’s training programme. Drivers are preferred but we are open to considering applications from non-driving ambulance Care Assistants. All drivers must have a full UK Driving Licence (with no more than 3 endorsement points) and have at least 2 years driving experience under that licence.

The organisation is committed to safeguarding children and adults and therefore any appointment will be subject to a DBS check and references covering your previous 5 years of employment will be required.

The pay rate for this job is between £10.50 to £11.00 per hour dependent on experience and qualifications. Enhanced rates are paid for weekend and unsocial hours working.
