Role Overview & Responsibilities

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Curriculum Services and we are seeking to appoint a motivated and knowledgeable individual into the role of Education Services Officer (Curriculum Approval).

The Team :

We have three teams within Curriculum Services: Curriculum Approval; Curriculum Review and Enhancement and Curriculum Data. The successful candidate will be situated within Curriculum Approval.


The Role :

You will work closely with academic colleagues, guiding and supporting them through the curriculum approval, amendment and discontinuation processes. This includes servicing Faculty Approval Panels and supporting the Chair, the relevant Faculty Director of Education, providing them and the wider panel with the information they need to make an informed judgement on each item of business. The successful candidate will also work directly with academic colleagues in the development of provision, culminating in an enhancement-focused event, entitled Programme Enhancement, Approval and Review. You will also work closely with the Curriculum Approval Manager to ensure that our processes continue to be streamlined and appropriate, meeting the needs of the University.


Please note that it is expected that all colleagues carry out cross-team and directorate work as and when required, such as supporting with graduations, student enrolment and clearing.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a passion, ability and experience in delivering high levels of stakeholder engagement and effective communication;
  • Has the ability and confidence to write formal reports and presentations to update key stakeholders;
  • Feels comfortable taking ownership of and resolving complex queries, working collaboratively with all stakeholders; and
  • Is knowledgeable and has an understanding of the higher education sector.

Interviews for shortlisted candidates will be held on campus at 6 Great Marlborough Street (6GMS) on Wednesday 29th and Thursday 30th March. Shortlisted candidates will also undergo a short written assignment the day of their interview.
