About Us:

Provide effective project administration for innovative community projects

Following the Grenfell Tower tragedy, we have embarked on a community recovery programme across the Lancaster West Estate. As part of this programme, we are now in the process of refurbishing homes to a high standard, with works led and co-designed by residents. In creating a ‘model’ estate for the 21st century, one of our aspirations is to ensure all homes are carbon neutral by 2030. We have also co-designed a future neighbourhood vision for Lancaster West and the wider neighbourhood. We are also supporting the development of green skills among local residents, contractors and council staff.

The Role:

You’ll use your administration and communication skills to support this innovative programme. It’s an opportunity to help shape a pilot project, which has the potential to roll out across the whole borough and lead the way for other local authorities. Your focus will be on helping to grow the green and future skills packages available to residents, staff, and contractors through researching opportunities, enlisting partners and participants, and ensuring courses are delivered. You’ll also provide vital project administration such as tracking expenditure, dealing with correspondence and enquiries, and supporting meetings.

Please refer to the Job Description for more information

About You:

Highly organised, you’ll be capable of prioritising a demanding workload. At the same time, you’ll be a creative thinker, able to spot and develop business opportunities. Good networking, communication and presentation skills are important, and you must be proficient in Microsoft Office/Office 365 applications, especially Excel. You’ll demonstrate a commitment to providing a high-quality service to customers, including sensitivity to the needs of our residents. Emotional intelligence, teamwork and a commitment to collaboration will all be key to your success.

In return, you can look forward to a package that includes a competitive salary, a high-quality pension scheme and generous annual leave plus bank holidays.
