Role Overview & Responsibilities
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join the Cellular Pathology Department as a Biomedical Scientist. Applications are invited from Biomedical Scientists who are HCPC registered and who ideally have experience in Cellular Pathology techniques. Applications may also be considered from candidates who have the IBMS Certificate of Competence or are nearing completion of their registration portfolio (Candidates would be employed under annex 21 until HCPC registered). Although based at St James University Hospital you may be required to rotate to other sites and sections within LTHT, and once competent you will be required to take part in the departmental on call rota. We are also looking to implement extended day shift patterns as part of a 6 day working week. The department is well equipped and fully computerised.
