Live-In Private House Caretaker
Role Overview & Responsibilities
We are looking for a live-in caretaker / gardener to maintain the grounds of a large family house and c 200 acre estate.
You must have a love of the countryside, enjoy gardening and be confident in dealing with any issues that may arise in relation to the buildings and grounds.
The role is primarily a caretaker position, reporting to the Estate Manager (not on-site) and being his eyes and ears on the ground. You will also be responsible for the security of the premises and liaise with various contractors and managing any visitors to the site. Although this role is Monday to Friday, as you are the caretaker for the site, you are obviously expected to report anything necessary to the Estate Manager if required on the weekend.
You must also be a keen gardener as there is some garden maintenance to be carried out to include lawn mowing and trimming.
This could be easily a collaborative role or for an individual. We are looking for a willing, accommodating and helpful candidate who can use their own initiative and want to take responsibility for the property.
The accommodation is a private 3 bedroom cottage on-site.
