KLM UK Engineering Limited is a leading UK-based Maintenance Repair Organisation (MRO) offering a high-quality service and products from its head office location at Norwich Airport. With 6 fully equipped modern heavy maintenance bays across 3 hangars and over 40 years of experience on many aircraft types, including Embraer 170/190, Boeing 737NG and MAX and BAe 146/Avro RJ types, KLM UK Engineering has a solid customer base. The Role
We have an exciting permanent opportunity for an Aircraft Technician. This role is based at our head office at Norwich Airport.
Shift pattern: 4 days on 4 days off and late shifts as per shift patterns.
Key Responsibilities
- As directed by the Supervisor or Project Manager perform aircraft maintenance tasks in line with the aircraft maintenance data and Aircraft Project Plan
- Ensure maintenance tasks are completed within budget and contractual agreements.
- Ensure timely escalation of risks and recommended action to supervisor.
- Allocate mechanic resource in the most efficient and effect manner.
- Create, nurture, and develop an effective and motivated team.
- Follow company Health & Safety policies at all times. Report all accidents and near misses.
- Good housekeeping and clean environment maintained at all times.
- Follow Approved Data at all times.
- Ensure all work performed on an aircraft is documented with the appropriate level of detail.
- Ensure handovers are effective.
- Ensure all Personal tools are maintained and controlled according to company policy.
- Investigations/trouble shooting to rectify aircraft defects found during aircraft maintenance checks.
- Promote and Report airworthiness safety concerns through the internal Safety Reporting system.
Selection Criteria
Essential criteria
- Proven experience in an aircraft Base maintenance environment.
- EASA 66 B licensed Engineer with proven experience exercising certification privileges.
- Basic knowledge of EASA/CAA, HSE legislation
- Basic IT knowledge/experience
Desirable criteria
- Current Human Factors, Fuel tank safety training and EWIS training
