Role Overview & Responsibilities
An exciting opportunity has arisen for 3 positions to work within the new Urology One Stop unit within Kettering General Hospital. The post holder will be front of house and have responsibility for booking patients for clinic appointments, diagnostic tests and treatments within the Urology Department. This includes the management of procedures lists for Consultants and all booking / co-ordination according to the clinical recommendations provided at point of referral and outcomes of appointments. This will involve direct patient contact and working with the wider Urology Team to ensure that patient care is delivered in a timely, efficient and effective manner. All bookings must be managed in line with the18 week RTT pathways and adhere to the Trust Access Policy
The ability to communicate politely and sensitively with patients is essential, with clear, concise, effective communications to colleagues and other members of the Urology team. An organised and flexible approach to the workload is essential. Previous Urology administration or Elective experience would be an advantage, but not essential and full training will be given.
