Man Control Room; Operate CCTV, Patrolling, Complete Check Lists, Man Guarding. Customer focussed / Part of weekend rotational rota (7hrs shift rotational 3/4th Saturday)

Job Description

As a Security Officer you will be required to work a core 50/7 and 57/7 every 2 weeks in term time shift pattern, consisting of mainly day shift 0700-1700 with 1 x 13hrs shift per week during term time when rostered to work between Monday - Friday, and 7hrs day on alternative Saturdays. The ability to work successfully as part of a team and excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills are essential to the role. Our team carry out a wide range of duties including foot patrols across the College estate at City Campus, securing buildings, CCTV and alarm monitoring, responding to a range of alerts and alarms and providing institutional first response to incidents, first aids and emergencies. To be successful in the role, you will have experience of working with the public, and be required to deal with sensitive situations, remain calm under pressure, and possess the ability to appraise situations quickly and effectively. You should be educated to standard grade level or equivalent and must have a good standard of literacy to provide clear incident reports and complete relevant management documentation.

Personal Specifications

Security Officer candidates will require: ·SIA License Door Supervisor (Essential) ·SIA CCTV License (Preferable) ·First Aid Certificate (Preferable) ·A full, comprehensive 5-year work/education history ·Excellent communication skills ·IT literate ·Good command of the English language in spoken and written form.
