SIA Security Response Officer

Innovative Security Solutions are looking for a Door Supervisor to join our security team in the Birmingham area, B40. We are looking for an experienced Security Response Officer to join the Team on site, you will take a lead role on site every Friday and Saturday evening. Your shift pattern will be every Friday and Saturday 21:00 – 05:00 (8 hours), with an hourly rate of £12.

Within this role you will be expected to:

• Participate in regular patrolling of the indoor of the arena, back of house areas, car parks and external areas, assisting visitors and staff if needed.

• Carry out regular checks and searches.

• Deter and prevent crime and unacceptable behaviour.

• Look after the safety of visitors, and fellow employees.

• Always a first responder to any security related incidents.

• Operate within the confines of the policies, procedures and rules of the Security Industry Authority (SIA).

• Assist with the setup, management and break down of any on-site events.

• Attend any training or courses that the company feels is relevant to your role or your personal development.

• Undertake any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business.

Security and Health & Safety

• Look out for, and to immediately report, any Health & Safety hazards, or potential hazards, on site.

• Stay alert to any threats or changes within the work environment in order to take the appropriate action to reduce the chance of disruption, loss or damage.

• Use common sense and initiative by immediately involving others if a situation appears to become threatening.

• To maintain professional conduct in the face of difficult and challenging situations.
