Radiology Assistant

We are looking for a conscientious, hard-working, caring person to join our team as a Radiology Assistant at the Radiology Department, Bronglais Hospital, Aberystwyth, West Wales.

Bronglais General Hospital provides diagnostic imaging services to Aberystwyth and the surrounding area as well as cross site referrals from other hospital within the Health Board.

It is essential that you enjoy working with people and have great communication skills.

You must have patience and be methodical, work well in a team but have the ability to take initiative and work individually.

Duties include:
Assisting the Radiographers working in the clinical area.
To perform clerical and administration duties.
To welcome patients and escort them to changing rooms.
To assist patients to prepare for imaging procedures.
Supporting the radiographers and patients during and after imaging procedures.
Cleaning and general hygiene tasks in the department.
Stocktaking of designated consumables.
To transport patients and associated paperwork to and from Radiology.
Previous hospital experience would be desirable.
Previous x-ray experience would be wonderful.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
