Part time Housekeeper/Nanny

This friendly but busy family are looking for some part time help with Housekeeping and some childcare. The family have four children, twin boys of 14 years, boy of 12 years and girl aged 11 years.

They are looking for someone who is happy to mix helping out with the children, cleaning the house and helping look after the pets. These duties would be split: Monday 8 hours – to include school runs, morning and afternoon, preparing a simple meal for dinner or something from the freezer, and spending the day striping and remaking beds and running bedding through the laundry, while ironing any shirts or bedding for the guest bed (they don’t iron all the sheets) and running any errands needed. There will then be 10 hours of cleaning / tidying which can and probably should be split across 2 days, ideally Thursday and Friday. The cleaning duties will be the main bathrooms, dusting and polishing furniture, cleaning down kitchen surfaces (no oven to clean), vacuuming the house in full and mopping the timber and stone floors. Two further hours are available for someone to walk the two dogs on these 2 days.

The children are all active, the boys all enjoy sports – cricket, rugby and football and the girl loves dance and drama. The children all enjoy reading as well as horse riding. They are a happy, loving and energetic family. Both parents have demanding jobs, Mum mostly works from home. They all love animals, they have 2 dogs, a cat, chickens and a hamster so an animal lover is preferred.

They live in a large country manor house within 6 acres of land. The main house ahs 6 bedrooms and the guest barn has 2 bedrooms (although this does not need cleaning every week). There is also the opportunity to babysit from time to time and do some overnight care occasionally. If you are interested in house/pet sitting if the family are away that would be great too! They have help Tuesday-Friday with childcare and she also does all the family cooking.
