Fulbridge Social Care are looking in Wakefield to recruit confident and determined individuals who have a positive outlook on supporting children and young people aged between 7-17 with different phycological disorders and challenging needs. You should have a passion in supporting the young people so they can reach their full potential.
As a Residential Support Worker, you will be helping in many ways including, being their role model, educator or coach all whist remaining professional. You will get to share some of their best and memorable moments together while building their self-esteem.
Some of the day to day activities:
- Encouraging children and enabling independence
- Teaching basic life skills
- Appropriately dealing with challenging behaviours
- Support in the community and/or education
- Driving to and from appointments and activities
The salary of the role will be £10.42 per hour, £12.75 per hour for bank holidays and £35.00 per sleep in. The hours/shifts will be flexible to suit your needs. Experience is not needed as full training will be provided. You will receive fully funded CPD accredited online training. You will complete this as part of your onboarding process and this can take a few hours to complete in your own time. As the training is relatively quick and with it being fully funded by ourselves you will not be paid for completing the online training.
