Why ForHousing?

  • SmarTech – purchase technology or white goods and spread the cost
  • Wellbeing centre, through STAR access – gym discounts, exercise videos, mindfulness tools, nutrition advice, financial advice and more
  • Cycle to work scheme – save up to 40% on bikes and equipment
  • Employee Assistance Programme – access to a 24/7 counselling and support helpline, as well as wellbeing and financial cover

What you’ll be doing:

  • Providing tenant-focussed rent and other debt collection services
  • Managing a caseload of accounts, working with tenants to maximise their income and manage their budgets effectively
  • Carrying out visits to tenants’ homes
  • Liaising with third parties including the housing benefits department and DWP
  • Supporting tenants to repay debts, negotiating payment in full or in affordable and reasonable instalments
  • Referring tenants to relevant external agencies such as welfare rights and debt advice organisations
  • Collaborating with Sheltered Housing Scheme Wardens regarding payment of debts

What we’re looking for:

  • Excellent customer service and communications skills
  • Knowledge of housing legislation and rent recovery procedures
