Salary Scale: AAT Grade 3 SCP 4-6 Pro-rata salary £14,583-£15,119 (Full time Equivalent Salary £21,189-£21,967)

We currently have the following vacancy at Wey Valley Academy, Dorchester Road, Weymouth, Dorset, DT3 5AN – Design and Technology Technician

The successful candidate will help co-ordinate the efficient operation of all technical matters within the Design & Technology Department. To prepare, organise and maintain materials and equipment for classroom use to meet the practical needs of the technology curriculum and to enhance the learning of all students. The successful candidate should have certification in operational use of both circular and band saws, have confidence in machine operation of either carpentry and/or engineering machines and hand tools and have a knowledge of Computer Aided Design and Manufacture. Knowledge on COSSH requirements and ‘in school’ safety compliance is an advantage.
