Warehouse Operative - Norwich

Dean & Wood is a leading refrigeration and air conditioning wholesaler with 17 branches throughout the UK. We have a vacancy for a Warehouse Operative in Norwich.

The Warehouse Operative is expected to ensure customers receive a fast and efficient response to distribution enquiries, building customer loyalty and enhancing the company’s reputation for service.

Your main duties will include:

· Dealing with trade counter customers

· Goods inwards, picking, packing, loading and off-loading vehicles

· Daily branch proposal and continuous stock taking

· Day-to-day administration

· Deliveries

· Daily vehicle checks and cleanliness of vehicles

The ideal Warehouse Operative will hold the following skills and experiences:

· Previous warehouse experience

· Ability to operate a forklift truck is desirable, but not essential; training will be given

· Familiarity with computerised despatch systems would be an advantage

· You would need to enjoy working as part of a team

· Effective communication skills

Due to the nature of the role, a full UK driving licence is required.

Your normal working hours will be based on a 42.5 hour working week, usually Monday to Friday 7.30am to 5pm. However, you will be expected to work a daily 8.5 hour shift between the hours of 6am and 6pm on a flexible basis. You will be required to participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota.
