Ramp Agent/Baggage Handler

Dalcross Handling Ltd offers the full range of ground handling services to scheduled and charter flights operating to and from Inverness Airport. We are looking to recruit customer-focused individuals who are able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment whilst providing a high standard of service to our airline’s customers.

Duties & Responsibilities will include:

• Loading and unloading baggage and cargo to and from the aircraft hold. The items can be very heavy , so a high level of physical fitness is essential.
• Operating ground equipment to include; baggage tugs, baggage trolleys, belt loaders, aircraft de-icing units, water and lavatory service carts, aircraft ground power units, and unit load device platforms in all weather conditions.
• Previous experience is not essential as full training will be provided.

Requirements:

• You must be able to provide 5 year uninterrupted work/education history.
• Any gaps in your work/education history, you will be required to provide a personal reference for each gap.
• You must pass a criminal record check (Basic Disclosure Scotland) prior to obtaining an airport pass.
• You must be flexible and be able to work a varied shift pattern operating 7 days a week, which includes early starts from 03:00am, late finishes from 11.00pm and weekends. You may be required to work overtime (which will be paid at the applicable overtime rate) when authorised and as necessitated by the needs of the business.
• A full UK driving license with no more than 3 points, as you will be required to drive company vehicles as part of the role.
• Access to your own vehicle is essential.

Job Type:

• Full-time based on 37.5 hours
• Permanent position

For successful candidates the rate of pay is £11.00 per hour, plus shift allowance. Full company uniform is provided.
