Junior Analyst

Salary - £24,000 - £25,000 per annum

The Role

We are looking for a data-focused individual to join our Experience and Development Team, supporting the operational and sales efforts of our two key brands; Landscape Services and CSG Managing Waste.

Landscape Services provide specialist commercial outdoor services for a variety of businesses and organisations throughout the Southeast. CSG Managing Waste manage the day-to-day operations for five household waste recycling centres and waste transfer stations in Kent.

The role helps to understand and measure the analytical data for our business with the intention of driving growth, efficiency, and sales. This data will provide financial intelligence and key performance information for our teams, and therefore a strong attention to detail is key.

Working with a team of administrative professionals and as such there may be aspects of administration which filter into your role, to support the requirements and demands of the division – particularly during periods of staff absence. This may include tasks such as customer support, data entry and quoting.

All training and software will be provided. This is a hybrid role with a mix of home and office working.

Community Services is the operational arm of Commercial Services Group – one of the UK’s largest, local authority-owned, trading organisations within the UK.

Key Duties

• Updating key software (CRM, order management and waste weighbridge systems) and downloading reports
• Updating, distributing, and evolving a standard set of weekly reports
• Developing, maintaining, and continually enhancing custom dashboards and reports, selecting and using the most suitable tools
• Collect, analyse, and interpret financial data from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights. Focusing on sales trends, purchasing, quote conversions and other key value-adding data
• Develop and maintain financial models, reports, and dashboards to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and support strategic planning.
• Perform data cleansing, validation, and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and consistency of financial information.
• Collaborate with the finance and management team to identify areas for process improvement and operational efficiency.
• Generate ad-hoc reports and provide timely and accurate responses to data requests.
• General administrative duties including data input and processing
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven projects and initiatives
• Collaborating with subject matter experts (Project Champions and Managers) to create actionable project requests
• Providing cover and support to other team members, ensuring business continuity.
• Being able to work independently and to exercise good sound judgment
• Working as directed to effective research and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy
