Academy Sports Scientist
Role Overview & Responsibilities
Cefn Druids FC are looking to appoint a part-time Sports Scientist to support their ambitious Sports Development Team. The role requires the person to lead on all sports science/physical preparation strategies for the Elite and Youth Phases of the academy.
Main Responsibilities include:
Supporting the coaching staff by delivering the physical preparation, monitoring and recovery strategies for the Elite and Youth Phase teams (U15 to U21).
Provide feedback on all training sessions and first team matches throughout the season.
Conduct fitness and developmental tests for age groups U8 to U21 on a regular basis, collate the data and present it to the Academy Board.
Essential Requirements:
- A good working knowledge of wearable GPS technology
- Ability to visualise, interpret and present data within the sports science domain
- A Sports Science degree or relevant
- Willingness to commit to the aims and objectives of the academy’s ambitions
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 12 per week
Salary: £12.00-£15.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Wrexham, LL14 3YF: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Willingness to travel:
- 100% (required)
