Role Overview & Responsibilities
Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is made up of people committed to service delivery and improvement. Voluntary Services provides volunteers to assist a broad spectrum of areas within the hospital, all of which help to improve the care and experience of our patients and their families and support staff. Volunteers are an integral and valued part of our patient care team.
We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals who have a caring attitude and a commitment to supporting the Trust’s Values, Together - Safe, Kind, Excellent.
You may have been inspired to volunteer in your community during the pandemic or perhaps would like to give back for the care you, a friend or family member have received. We are delighted to be able to offer a variety of different volunteer roles so there we hope you find be one that suits you.

All our volunteer roles help improve the experience of our patients and visitors and support staff. Whether as a guide helping a patient to get to their appointment; a Ward Volunteer brightening someone’s day with a chat and a listening ear; or perhaps as a Radio Addenbrooke’s Volunteer providing entertainment over the airways. All our volunteers make a real difference.
