Bournemouth University’s vision is worldwide recognition as a leading university for inspiring learning, advancing knowledge, and enriching society through the fusion of education, research and practice. Our highly skilled and creative workforce is comprised of individuals drawn from a broad cross section of the globe, who reflect a variety of backgrounds, talents, perspectives, and experiences that help to build our global learning community. The growth of research and knowledge exchange is at the core of BU’s strategic plan and is supported by the Research Development & Support (RDS) service.

We are looking for a creative, knowledgeable, and adaptable Impact Manager to support the delivery of our BU2025 strategy particularly in terms of increasing research impact quality, visibility, and influence.

You will work across all areas of BU to provide strategic support and information to develop research impact through policy, practice, and public engagement with internal and external stakeholders. You will be responsible for leading on the development and implementation of the University’s research impact strategy, leading impact preparation towards future research assessment exercises, collaborating with colleagues to optimise public engagement activities as a pathway to research impact and the provision of evidence of impact for several external returns, including HE-BCI, HEIF and the KEF.

In return for your talents, we offer a generous remuneration and benefits package, as well as extensive training opportunities.

To support and enable our staff to achieve a balance between work and their personal lives, we will consider proposals for flexible working or job share arrangements.
