Test Analyst

Be-IT are recruiting for a short-term, part-time assignment for a small charity body. They require an experienced Test Analyst to help them to establish and implement a test strategy, automation frameworks and share knowledge with their small team of 3 developers, who are well-versed in TDD methodology and currently carry out regression and UAT testing themselves. However, an experienced, expert tester is required!

Key Responsibilities

• Planning and executing regular regression and end to end testing
• Understanding user requirements of the system and writing test scenarios / test cases
• Supporting the development team by identifying bugs and problem areas
• Working with the support team to sanity check bug reports and problems
• Reporting and detailing of bugs and problems
• Implementing a test framework that can be expanded and followed by additional team members

Experience and Competencies

• Solid background in testing web applications
• Excellent understand of web application testing
• Good understanding of the software development lifecycle
• Comfortable using JIRA
• Understanding of automated software testing tools and their implementation

Desirable

• Background in software development would be advantageous
• Basic understanding of JavaScript and HTML
• Basic understanding of how APIs work
• Familiar with the Laravel PHP framework

Rates of £350-400 per day are on offer here, outside IR35, remote, and the duration will be flexible, with plans to extend past an initial 1 month.
