Role Overview & Responsibilities
Job Summary:
- To assess and treat own caseload of patients within the defined clinical area and maintains associated records
- To undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner within your area of specialty
- Facilitates and supports the discharge planning process
- Supervises less experienced physiotherapists, therapy assistants / technicians and students.
- To work flexibly across specialties when requested, and if competency allows
Qualifications
- HCPC Registration
- BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy, or equivalent
- Member Chartered Society Physiotherapy
Skills and Knowledge
- Post graduate courses relevant to field of expertise
- Excellent clinical skills in relevant field of expertise
- Good English speaking and writing skills
- Good working knowledge of basic IT software (word & excel, email)
Experience
- Relevant post registration experience as a physiotherapist
- Working in the NHS
- Evidence of working in a team situation
- Evidence of student or physiotherapy assistant supervision
- Demonstrate an understanding of the importance of delivering quality of care
- Respects the privacy and dignity of individuals
- Demonstrate an understanding of equal opportunities
