Kitchen Porter Required
kitchen porter would be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of a kitchen, as well as supporting the kitchen staff in their daily tasks.
1. Washing dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment by hand or using a dishwasher.
2. Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen surfaces, floors, walls, and equipment.
3. Sorting and disposing of waste and recycling materials.
4. Receiving and storing deliveries of food, drink, and other kitchen supplies.
5. Assisting the kitchen staff in the preparation of food, such as chopping vegetables or washing salad leaves.
6. Operating kitchen equipment such as mixers, blenders, and ovens under the guidance of the kitchen staff.
7. Maintaining a safe and clean working environment in the kitchen.
8. Following health and safety regulations and procedures at all times.
Kitchen porters may also be required to perform other duties as requested by the kitchen manager or head chef. This can include tasks such as setting up and clearing away tables, serving food, or helping with the preparation and cooking of meals. The role of a kitchen porter is essential to the smooth running of a kitchen, and their hard work and dedication are vital to the success of establishment.
