Seamstress/Tailor

• The Sewing Room@Ella Rose are seeking an experienced seamstress or tailor to join our team in Chobham Surrey. The shop provides all the alterations for our sister shop Melita next door which is an extremely busy occasion wear shop.

We also provide a very high level of alterations for all aspects of ladies and mens tailoring, altering hemlines, waistlines, general repairs and restyling. We carry a high reputation for the standard of our work and excellent customer service. We have been established for over 40 years at Melita and 6 years at Ella Rose.

The work role will involve the following:

Tailor wedding outfits, Wedding dresses, Bridesmaid dresses, Prom and Evening wear

Alter both Ladies & Gents Garments from a simple hem to a complete reconstruction

Curtain and cushion alterations

Replacing Zips

Working on various types of materials

The Applicant must be resident in the UK at time of applying

At least 3 years experience required of alteration sewing

This Role will not be suited to a Newly Qualified Graduate as we are not able to offer training

We are looking for someone who is very experienced and ideally has worked in an alterations business before

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 24 -40 per week

Salary: £15,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
