Role Overview & Responsibilities
Full or Part time Kennel Assistant required for a busy charity kennels
Salary: £22,000 per annum for FT role (Pro Rata salary for PT role)
Essential Requirements
· Previous kennel experience and confidence in handling dogs of all breeds and behaviour
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Calm manner under pressure and good communication skills
· Positive attitude and caring approach to animal welfare
· An aptitude to work with all types of people
· Good level of physical fitness for a demanding role
· A full clean UK driver’s license
· Two professional references which will be checked
Responsibilities
All Dogs Matter is a charity working in and around London to transform the lives of unwanted and abandoned dogs. We also rehome dogs in need from overseas.
On a day-to-day basis, the responsibilities will include, but not be limited to;
- Cleaning kennels and exercise areas
- Handling, walking and socialising dogs
- Dog enrichment
- Liaising with customers and volunteers
- Working as part of a team
- Other miscellaneous duties as required
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week
Salary: £22,000.00 per year
